ON THE EASEL: PROJECT ARCHIVES
The project archives came about as a result of the many questions I receive about the methods used in my work. I’ve learned that a lot of people are genuinely interested in the finer details of the creative process. As a result, in 2009 I began photographing the “in-progress” stages of my paintings, and making detailed notes as I worked. These eventually became the “On the Easel” section of the website; created for anyone interested in a behind-the-scenes look inside my studio.
This archive represents the collection of those projects over the years since 2009. Not every piece I have painted is in this collection, but it’s pretty darn close. I hope you enjoy wandering through the projects and let me know if you have any questions.
